This article describes the data limits for SendSafely for Business plans: Enterprise, Business and Team. The following data limits apply to all SendSafely features.

Rate Limits

Rate limits have been implemented to protect our service from issues that may arise when a single user generates too much traffic. A standard rate limit of 1500 requests over a 5 minute period is applied to all SendSafely user accounts. When the rate limit is exceeded, our servers will return an HTTP status code of "HTTP 429 Too Many Requests".

Once the rate limit is triggered, you will continue to receive a "HTTP 429 Too Many Requests" response until the number of requests drops below the 5 minute threshold. If the rate limit is exceeded for an extended period of time, an automated account lock may be placed on your account.
