SendSafely allows you to preview image, video, PDF and Word (DOCX) files directly in the browser, meaning you can view the file content without having to download it to your computer first. 

For Workspaces, clicking the file name on the Files and Folders tab will automatically preview image, video, PDF and Word files. A row click in Workspaces gives you the option to download the file. 

For Transfers and Dropzone uploads, users can choose to preview files by clicking the eyeball button on the file row. Additionally, clicking anywhere on the row itself will automatically open the previewer.

You can also quickly flip through all files in a Transfer or Dropzone upload, or Workspace folder via navigation arrows.

You can use your keyboard’s arrow keys or click the on-screen left and right arrows to move between files. The previewer updates automatically depending on where you are in the list:

• No arrows: Only one file in the package
• Right arrow: You’re on the first file, more files ahead
• Left arrow: You’re on the last file, previous files available
• Both arrows: Files available before and after your current one

Preview works for image, PDF, Word (DOCX), and video file types. If the package contains a file that can’t be previewed, such as a spreadsheet or log file,  SendSafely will display an option to download it securely instead.
